I have been living in Hampstead for over 40 years now, enjoying the wonderful Heath, exploring its highways and byways and its fascinating history.
Several years ago I set up a website on Hampstead Heath to show off some pretty pictures about of the Heath and the surrounding area. It’s still there, though it’s grown a bit long in the tooth, and needs to be thoroughly updated,
But I am always going out and about, camera at the ready, and it seems a pity not to display some of my photos.
This then is the reason for this blog — simply a lazy way of displaying miscellaneous photographs and keeping them in some sort of order. Whether or not I keep it up, remains to be seen. Probably, like so many blogs, it will fade away after the first few entries. But here is the start: if you happen to find it, I hope you will enjoy it!
Dear Sir,
I have been trying to pin down the area of the Heath in which there is a memorial bench for William Squire for a considerable time. I would be very grateful if you could help me at all as I thought you might know. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience,
Cathy
